אוסף ראשי ממשלת ישראל

אוסף ראשי ממשלת ישראל הינו אוסף אמנות ייחודי המאגד יצירות של אמנים ידועים המתארות את ראשי הממשלה בישראל. האוסף נוסד ע"י עמוס אהרוני במטרה להוקיר ולהצדיע למנהיגים אשר הובילו את מדינת ישראל מאז היווסדה.
הקונספט המאחד את יצירות האמנות באוסף הינו "ראשי ממשלה ישראליים " ובהתאם האוסף מונה כיום קרוב ל- 100 רישומים ופורטרטים של מיטב אמני ישראל. אמנם, מרבית מן היצירות הינן ביקורתיות ואף נוקבות, אך בהסתכלות היסטורית ניתן להתייחס לאוסף כמיצג המתעד את הדינאמיקה הפוליטית בישראל ומלווה את התפתחות המנהיגות הפוליטית מקום המדינה ועד היום.

כאמור, אוסף ראשי ממשלת ישראל מהווה אמצעי לשימור המורשת של מנהיגות ישראלית ומביע רגשות הערכה והוקרה כלפי ראשי הממשלה שהנהיגו את המדינה. הביטוי הפומבי של האוסף באתר politicart מייצג ערכים ואידיאליים הקוראים להכשרת דור המשך של מנהיגים בישראל באמצעות חינוך, השקעת משאבים ושיפור התדמית של המנהיג הפוליטי בעיני הציבור.

קרן אהרוני לאמנות ומנהיגות פועלת להרחבת מאגר היצירות באוסף ראשי ממשלת ישראל ומעודדת אמנים צעירים לנקוט עמדה ולתעד את המנהיגות הנוכחית, בזמן אמת, בהתאם לעוצמת האירועים והרגשות המלווים את הפוליטיקה הישראלית בימינו.

The first Likud prime minister and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Menachem Begin was also head of the Zionist group Irgun.

Nobel peace prize winner and one of the key political leaders signing the Oslo Accords, the belated Yitzhak Rabin, was victim of an assassination in 1995.

Golda Meir, the “Iron Lady” of Israeli politics became fourth prime minister of Israel in 1969 after serving as labor minister and foreign minister.

Moshe Sharett

Israel’s second Prime Minister Moshe Sharett following in the foot steps of David Ben-Gurion is painted by the well-known Israeli artists as part of the Amos Aharoni Prime Ministers Collection, a privately initiated collection of former and current prime ministers of the state of Israel.

Moshe Sharett served as prime minister for just under two years between 1953 and 1955 and thereafter took office as the country’s foreign minister in 1956. In 1961 he became chairman of the Jewish Agency.

The Amos Aharoni Prime Ministers Collection, a personally initiated private collection of Israeli art, features many of the great Israeli leaders contributing to the very existence of the state of Israel.

The collection exemplifies how art can be used as a historical testament for the preservation of the heritage of leadership in Israel and the development of political dynamics in Israel.

Today, the Collection includes about 100 art paintings of previous and current Israeli prime ministers from the late David Ben Gurion to Ehud Olmert painted by well-known Israeli artists such as Uri Lifshitz, Yigal Tumarkin and Amnon David Ar.

A vision of political art

All art is political is a common assertion often carrying controversial connotations. Over the course of history, art has at times offended people, while tackling explosive political issues and challenging authority and the establishment. Art can be shocking, provocative, shaking governments across the political spectrum.

At the same time, there is a general consensus that the role of art is to stimulate public reflection and debate about the key issues of our time. In this context, a fiercely debated question, is whether or how art can be used as a means to manifestly express a political message without creating controversy for the artist.

The Amos Aharoni Prime Ministers Collection is a prime example of how art can be promoted as a means to bridge the gap between culture and politics. As a firm believer in the importance of political art, I personally initiated a private collection of Israeli art featuring about 80 paintings of Israeli prime ministers.

The Amos Aharoni Prime Minister Collection presents a historical testament for the preservation of the heritage of leadership in Israel and the development of political dynamics in Israel.

The vision behind the Amos Aharoni Prime Ministers Collection is built on the necessity for the future of the Israeli society to know how to cultivate, cherish and train human capital leading the political processes of this country.
